RUFC - Cress blow for Millers

Rotherham United skipper, Ryan Cresswell has had a bit of an injury set-back after being given the all-clear from the surgeon.

Ryan is suffering from an ankle injury that he got in training at the beginning of last month.

'He was given the all clear from the surgeon to go back into full training,' Millers Manager, Andy Scott told Radio Sheffield today, 'and his re-hab had been going well. He came and joined in on training on Tuesday and, unfortunately, suffered a bit of a set-back.

'We've come to the conclusion that if he can't cope with training like we did on Tuesday then we may be looking at an operation. We go back to see the consultant next week but we are pretty sure that an operation will be needed.

'This is a big blow for everyone because he's six weeks down the line from when he first did it and now he's going to be out for another eight or nine weeks.'
