'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Guy 'confidence among the players'

Rotherham United's on-loan defender, Guy Branston says that he can see the confidence of the team in the dressing room.

The Millers, who haven't won a game since September, have drawn their last three with Guy telling the Official Site that he is sure, once it clicks, that the Millers will be 'one heck of a side.'

'There are players in there who a manager of a League One side would love to have in their team. It's all really positive in training and once it clicks these lads are all capable of getting this side promoted.'

Guy could be straight back into the starting eleven tomorrow, after missing the last three through suspension. 'I come with the attitude to train hard every day and I take that out onto the pitch,' the thirty-two year old said. 'Basically I've shown the gaffer enough in the past couple of weeks for him to know what I'm about and capable of.'

Speaking about the red card he got in his first game back with Rotherham, Guy said, 'The reputation I get is for winning football matches. I want to win tackles to stop strikers scoring. I don't want to hurt people, there's no malice in it. When I was younger I built a reputation through being stupid, but I'm getting older now, and I think that red at Bristol was my first in about two years. Anyone who has met me in the street knows it's just a desire to do well for myself, it's not nastiness.'
