RUFC - Jaybo 'good to get a win'

RUFC - Jaybo 'good to get a win'

Rotherham United midfielder, Jason Taylor said it was nice to get a win on Saturday.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the two-nil victory over Aldershot at the weekend, the twenty-four year old said, 'I thought we were really good in the first half though we had to dig in a little bit in the second. We were a bit sloppy when they went down to ten men and a bit of tension crept in near the end because the lads didn't want to let each other down. And, just because we didn't want to make mistakes I think it got a bit ugly near the end. But it was nice to get that win under our belts.

'We've been conceding sloppy goals and we know we have to improve so hopefully we can kick on from here. We need to keep up the performances and keep a tight ship at the back we are always going to nick a goal.'

Jason dropped back to centre-half for this game and said, 'I've played there before and if I can help the team out I'm willing to play there.'

Speaking about his team-mate, Guy Branston, Jason said, 'Guy's made a good living out of the game and he was very dominant in the air today. We are a little bit different and I think we complimented each other.'
