'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Millers closing in on name

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart says that it's probable that the new ground will be named by the end of the month.

With Mr Stewart saying last month that he wanted the name sorted for Christmas, he is hopeful that it will now be the month before.

So far, it would seem, the favourite names include New York Stadium and The Foundry.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Mr Stewart said, 'We have one name that has been suggested by lots of people but it is important that we make the right decision so there will be much further discussion and research before a decision is made.'

Personally, I think it should have Guest and Chrimes in the name somewhere - it is on their old site and nearer than 'New York' was. How about the Guest and Chrimes Stadium - G & C Stadium for short?
