'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Scott 'need to keep doing right things'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says that his team are continuing to work hard.

After going four games undefeated, though three of them have been draws, Scott said, 'If we keep on doing the right thing and working hard then things will naturally turn around.

'Brett Williams and Connor Logan are both available to play in the FA Cup but we can`t play Guy Branston or Jon Harley. Its good news that we`ve got those two and Brett did well in the Reserves yesterday, but we`d obviously like the other two involved as well but we understand why they aren`t allowed to play.

'We knew when we first did the deals that this was going to be the case but it`s going to give other people a chance.

'Troy Brown is away with the Welsh Under 21`s and they are going walking in the hills apparently which is good news for him. They`ve got a game next Tuesday and he needs to have nine games preparation for that because it`s such an important game for them - and obviously, playing first team football in the FA Cup isn`t as important and we have to understand that and good luck to them.`

Speaking about the five substitute rule for League games, Scott said, 'I think this rule has completely changed the whole thinking behind who you put on the bench. Having seven subs for the FA Cup games makes it easier and means everyone can be involved and we will be taking everyone who we`ve got available.`

I can see that all that hill walking will do Troy a lot more good than actually playing ninety minutes of football - not
