'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Big Guy 'It's great to be back'

Rotherham United defender, Guy Branston has told Manager, Andy Scott that he will repay the faith he`s shown in him.

Branston, who is on loan from Bradford City, joined the Millers on a three-month deal last month but was red carded in his first game and speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, the thirty-two year old said, 'The red card was disappointing and I have to thank Andy Scott because he`s put his trust in me. I let him down a bit and he could have sent me back but he didn`t. He told me to work hard in training, prove what you`re worth and you`ll get back in the squad.`

Well, Guy did just that and started the game against Aldershot on Saturday and wasn`t only the sponsor`s Man of the Match that day he was also Vital Rotherham Man of the Match.

'It was great to be back,` the former Torquay skipper said. 'I put in a performance to repay the manager`s faith and I`ll keep doing that for him, especially for the Milers because this club means a lot to me.`

Saturday was the first time the Millers had kept a clean sheet since August and Guy said, 'It`s great to have been part of getting the first clean sheet for a long time but it`s great for defenders when our forwards are chasing down and it`s brilliant when you have forwards who put in defensive work as well.`
