'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Chairman 'we have a very fit side'

Rotherham United travel to Valley Parade on Saturday to take on Bradford City and while the Millers are mid-table in League Two the Bantams are languishing in twenty-first place, just one point above the bottom two slots which surprises Millers` Chairman, Tony Stewart.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star, Mr Stewart said, 'I am very surprised at Bradford`s form and position in the league. I watched their game against Sheffield United and they played really well. I see them as a dangerous and that they have been playing under-par.

'It`s a derby game and we are looking forward to it but Bradford`s confidence will be up after the last two matches and I`m sure they will try to replicate those performances in the league. If they do that, I`m sure they will start to climb the league but I hope it is after we have played them on Saturday!

'But we aren`t frightened of any team in League Two. If we turn up and give a true presentation of ourselves, then we are confident we can get a good result.`

After getting their first league victory in ten over Aldershot at Don Valley recently the Millers are now on twenty-four points and Mr Stewart is challenging Manager Andy Scott`s promotion aspirants to get to forty points before the end of the year.

'We have a very fit side, a good manager and the team want what we all want which is success for this football club,` Mr Stewart said. 'We need to be in the late thirties knocking on the door of forty then we know we are in the right catchment area and we can go into the New Year in good spirits.`
