'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - The hurdle has been cleared

Rotherham United haven`t lost in five games and we are all hoping that the 'blip` is now behind us and that we can 'kick-on` and start working our way up the league again.

Today, Manager, Andy Scott has told Les Payne of The Star that it wasn`t so much a blip as a straight road with a 'hurdle` in the way (which playing at Don Valley is probably more apt than a blip!) He also said that the hurdle has now been cleared and they can see where they have to get too.

There`s been speculation amongst the fans at games that Scott`s job is on the line - but you know how we fans like to talk - and, if I`m being honest, I can`t really see that. Watching and listening to him in interviews he seems to be a very composed person not looking flustered and saying what he thinks. If my job was on the line I`d be jittery and thinking twice before speaking.

This time last season we were in sixth place on twenty-seven points - today we have three points less and are in fourteenth. Which, looking at it, is really just one win different. In my mind I can hear Yazz and her Plastic Population singing 'the only way is up.`

So, let`s hope the 'blip` and the 'hurdle` have been overcome and that the 'corner has been turned` and the Millers can get something out of the game tomorrow at Bradford.
