RUFC - Injury Update

Rotherham United have had a few injury problems of late although things seem to be easing off a little at the moment.

The two with long-term injuries, Mark Bradley and Ryan Cresswell are both working hard, according to their Manager, Andy Scott, and it could be that we see them back in the first team at the start of next year.

Mark Bradley has seen a consultant this week and he is on schedule and it's thought he will be back in training just before Christmas. It is also hoped to have skipper Ryan Cresswell back training the same week.

Michael Raynes was stretchered off at Northampton last month with what was first thought to be a serious injury but turned out to be nerve damage, and he played in the Reserves on Monday and suffered no ill-effect. He trained on Tuesday and it seems its just a matter of getting used to it.

Johnny Mullins suffered a terrible knee injury in a training accident at the end of last season and played his first seventy minutes of football in a reserve game in September since the previous April. But, due to other injuries Johnny was put on for the last fifteen minutes of the league game against Southend in September. He has started six games since then but has been rested since the end of October. He also played in Monday's Reserve win over Scunthorpe on Monday and looked sharp.

It is thought that one of Mullins and Raynes, if not both, will play some part in Saturday's game.
