'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Scott post-Bradford

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott was delighted with the win against Bradford City today.

Speaking after the match at Valley Parade to Radio Sheffield, Scott said, 'We've been outstanding all game and for forty-seven-and-a-half-minutes of the second half we were totally professional. We were fantastic going forward and we were solid defensively but then the penalty gets given, after a bit of naivety on our part, and you think 'what have we done'. But it was a terrific save and it's no more than we deserved.

'I think everyone will make a big thing of the last minute penalty save but I think we deserved to be far and away clear by then. We were unfortunate with the first penalty we gave away which hit Jaybo's (Jason Taylor) hand and we were unlucky not to get a second penalty ourselves in the first half when Dale Tonge went down which looked as close to a stonewall penalty that you are going to get. But, three points is three points. Away from home anywhere in this league is tough and we had some magnificent performances today. Brett Williams made his full debut for us today and he was outstanding. There were a few people with knocks there at the end and they gave it their all.

'Bradford smashed the ball forward in the first half and tried to get it behind us and we coped with it OK without being brilliant. They're a massive side, they're one of the biggest sides in the league and we dealt with it very well for the majority of the time.

'We're six unbeaten now and we're on a bit of a charge now. We're looking forward to Crawley coming to town and assessing ourselves against them.'
