RUFC - Scott 'terrific finish' by Williams

Join The Vital Debate

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said that Brett Williams scored a good goal today in the teams two-one defeat to second in the league, Crawley Town this afternoon.

Brett is on loan with the Millers from Reading, though his chances to get in the first team have been limited due to an injury he suffered and today made only his second start since joining in August.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the game at Don Valley today, about the twenty-three year old, Scott said, 'It was a terrific finish for the goal, especially after missing the one-on-one before that.

'He worked ever so hard today and he shut people down and worked closely with Revs (Alex Revel) a lot to get on the end of things and they linked up quite well. He looked dangerous putting balls into the box, worked very well and scored a good goal.

'He was flagging a bit towards the end which is why we brought him off.`
