'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Crawley Town

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said that the better team lost, after Crawley Town won two-one at Don Valley on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Crawley Manager, Steve Evans was delighted his team took all three points after going one behind on twenty minutes which took them to joint top of League Two.

Speaking to Crawley's Official Site, Evans said, 'It is the best feeling in the world being top of whatever league you are in.

'Rotherham was a difficult place to go to. There is a running track around the pitch and with the supporters so far away it makes it even more difficult because on top of that you have to face a good team, a manager who knows his stuff while, in fairness, the Rotherham supporters gave their team some great vocal backing despite being so far from the pitch.

'Rotherham had dominated the first forty-five minutes and I had to wake them up at half-time with some harsh words. We needed a huge reaction from the lads or it was a nailed-on defeat waiting to happen. To be fair to everyone of them they stood up to be counted in that second half and we played some great football but we do need to learn that we can't just turn up for the second half and perform to win matches.'
