RUFC - Scott looks to the positives

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott is aware that his side`s results have to improve against the top sides in the division if they want to be in with a shout of promotion at the end of the season.

The top seven teams, at the moment, are Southend, Crawley Town, Cheltenham, Shrewsbury, Burton Albion, Swindon Town and Gillingham - of those seven, the only ones the Millers have to play yet are Cheltenham., Of the other six, the Gills are the only team the Millers have beaten being which was at Don Valley, in August.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star, Scott admitted that they hadn`t done brilliant against the top sides but was still looking at the positives after Saturday`s defeat, saying, 'We lost on Saturday but whilst that is disappointing, there were a lot of positives to take from it and I have to convince the players of that.

'"When we do things right, we can cope with anyone in this division and I feel we can be better than anyone. We made Crawley struggle when we were in the ascendancy, got a goal and should have had a few more.`

For me, on Saturday, the biggest disappointment was the amount of chances we had but didn`t take and, personally, I thought we made Crawley look 'ordinary`.
