RUFC - Millers get Evans good news

Rotherham United have had some good news regarding striker, Gareth Evans today.

Evans, who limped out of the Bradford match with, what looked like a serious ankle injury, but there is better news today.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Manager, Andy Scott said, 'He's had a scan and things don't look as bad as we first feared.

'There was a problem in there but it seems that was a long term injury from before that isn't going to hamper him now. So we are looking at probably the middle of January for him to be match fit, which is much better than the original diagnosis.'

Asked if Michael Raynes would be available for the weekend, Scott said, 'Well, he's available but there is still a problem with his knee and the nerve and he's still getting a strange sensation down his leg which is affecting him.

'To be honest, we've got a few problems with a few players but they are battling through it. But we are having to maintain them through the week to make sure they are available for a match on Saturday and that's not ideal.'
