'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Shrewsbury

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott was frustrated as much with the Referee on Saturday at the Greenhous Meadow as with the fact that his team lost.

On the other hand, Shrews Manager, Graham Turner was delighted that his side had got through to the third round of the FA Cup.

Speaking to Shrewsbury`s Official Site after their two-one win over the Millers, Turner said, 'We started the game well and got in behind them (Rotherham) and down the sides of them but never produced a cross or shot that was worthy of the movement and it was a case of doing OK against lively forwards.

'Their record of scoring goals away from home is excellent and we warned the players about that. But in the main, up until the penalty, I thought we had done well at the back.

'Obviously, them going down to ten men had a bearing on the course of the game - sometimes it can go against you because some sides pull out the stops and work harder. But we did well and got the ball into wide areas and, in the end, it paid off.`

Speaking about the penalty his side got, which turned out to be the winning goal, Turner said, 'It`s difficult to see dugout. I know Marvin (Morgan) had gone past two players but I couldn`t see how much contact there was. You just accept the referee`s decision, if it`s in your favour of course!`
