'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Stand-in Skipper after Saturday's game

Rotherham United stand-in skipper, Danny Harrison said that Saturday's game against Shrewsbury was tough.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the loss, the twenty-nine year old said, 'I thought we gave as good as we got in the first half, although, perhaps, we were fortunate to go one-nil up, but you take that. Then, having Marshy (Marcus Marshall) sent off at the end of the first half we knew it would be an uphill task after that.

'They came out for the second half and stuck it to us really but, although they had a lot of chances, I think we were still solid. They didn't really plough us open or have any clear cut chances and I think it was the penalty that killed us. And I didn't think it was a penalty. He's cut inside Tom Newey and, from where I was standing, I thought he pulled Tom back, Tom went down and the penalty was given. The linesman was standing twenty yards away and, although I can't say too much, we would have liked to have been given that decision.'
