RUFC - View from the Opposition - Hereford

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said, although they made it hard for themselves, it was a team effort that got his side three points at Edgar Street against Hereford on Saturday.

Hereford Manager, Jamie Pitman has this to say to Hereford Player after the game, which the Millers won three-two, 'I think the difference in the game was that we conceded from two corners, and we've got to learn to defend a lot better and be ruthless in both boxes.

'Apart from that, the energy, the way we went forward, I thought we'd done enough to score a few more than we did. I thought we were on top for the majority of the first half although they've obviously got their goals - one from a corner and one from a strike that's hit an unbelievable bobble it's nearly ended up in the top corner. We did ever so well to get back into it and worked ever so hard and it was difficult to make a substitution because we had the momentum. It's just frustrating at the moment.

'The goals we scored, well yes we had a bit of luck with the first one with a deflection but if you don't shoot you don't score. We're all bitterly disappointed with the result but we've just got to work as hard as we have been doing in the last few weeks.'
