RUFC - Ground named before Christmas
Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart has said today that the new ground will be named before Christmas.
Speaking to MillersPlayer after it had been announced that Ben Bennett Jnr would be sponsoring the Family Stand at the new ground, Mr Stewart said, 'We did say that it would be a few weeks before we'd announce the name but I think it will be before Christmas, and, when it is announced there will be one or two surprises I think.'
Asked if there had been any progress on who would be the first visitors to the new ground, Mr Stewart said, 'We've got feelers out. I'd think it would be wrong to give any names out but we are going for big names and, hopefully in January, we should get some feedback and then we'll be able to announce who that first game will be with.'
