RUFC - Lewis wants more goals

Rotherham United striker, Lewis Grabban knows that the Christmas period can make or break a season.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star, the Millers top scorer said, 'If we can get a good points return from these games then we can easily get back up towards the top of the league.`

The Millers begin the festive season on Saturday at Don Valley against new boys AFC Wimbledon before travelling to Macclesfield on Boxing Day and then make the long trek to Cheltenham for the Friday night game before New Year.

Speaking about the way Andy Scott has been forced to chop and change the team, mainly the back four, due to injuries and suspensions, Lewis said, 'It makes it difficult when you have to chop and change the team all the time but defending is not all about the back four. You have to defend from the front and we have all got to do better as a unit..

The former Millwall and Brentford forward says he is pleased with his form but admitted that he wants to score more goals, saying, 'I`m pleased to have scored as many goals as I have done, but I want more and, as long as I keep getting the chances, I`m confident I`ll do that. But I know I can`t relax and that I still have to keep a high conversation rate. Andy has brought me in and given me the consistency of games. I have started every game and when you are confident that you are going to play, you take that on to the pitch.`

Lewis has scored thirteen goals in all competitions already this season, four of those being from the penalty spot.
