RUFC - Annerson on the mend

RUFC - Annerson on the mend

Rotherham United had some good news about goalkeeper, Jamie Annerson this week.

The twenty-three year old hasn't featured this season after suffering a knee injury during the summer, which, last time we heard, wasn't responding too well. But there is better news and Millers Manager, Andy Scott told MillersPlayer, Jamie's done very well. Over the last few weeks he's been doing handling and stepping it up week-by-week. He's getting a lot stronger and getting more involved with the goalkeepers and what they do. He's still a fair way off but he's gradually improving and that's giving him a lift every time he goes out on the pitch with the other 'keepers.

'It's been a long and difficult road for him and I'm delighted to see him back out there and involved and it's nice for him to be out there and get a feel of the ball again.'

I wonder how close he really is. Wasn't this something he picked up when they went abroad in the summer on a training holiday sort of thing?
