'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Revs 'we all know there's work to do'

Rotherham United striker, Alex Revell says that the Millers aren`t that far away from turning their season around.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser the twenty-eight year old, who joined the Millers from Leyton Orient in the summer, said, 'We all know there`s work to do but the lads, the gaffer and the staff are all passionate to succeed.

'I don`t think we`ve had the run of the green in the last few weeks and we should be standing here, maybe, nine games unbeaten and in the play-offs because, although we lost to Crawley and Shrewsbury we felt we were the better team.

'If we can get a win this weekend then we can go into the Christmas period in a better position and then there`s nine days until the next game where we can buckle down and maybe iron out any mistakes.

'We can see what the Chairman is building and we all want to be part of that and the aim is to get into the play-offs because the new ground deserves League One football.`

Speaking about last weekends win over Hereford, where he scored the second goal, Revs said, 'We should really have kicked on from two-nil up. They levelled it up but we carried it on and won ugly, which we needed to prove we could do. In the second half we defended very well and I thought Michael Raynes and Johnny Mullins were magnificent.

'I`d rather we`d have won one-nil but we scored three away from home which is massive encouragement. Johnny got two and I think we`re going to be hearing about that for the rest of the month!`
