'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Grabs 'we need to stop conceding'

Rotherham United striker, Lewis Grabban says that his good form has been because he`s had a run of games and not been in and out of the side.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, the former Millwall and Brentford player said, 'It`s always better to have a consistent run of matches and not like when I was in and out of the team at Millwall and when I was on loan with teams. You`ve got your fitness and confidence when you are out on the pitch.

'I`ve been pushed out wide right sometimes but you have to do a job for the team. When you play out wide you have to be able to come inside and make runs between the full-back and, although I prefer being central because you`ve more chance of scoring, I can still score from wide positions and the penalties have helped.`

Speaking about last Saturday and the win over Hereford, the twenty-three year old said, 'Defensively we made a couple of mistakes but we dug deep and did well to get the result. The pitch was heavy and difficult so it was good to get the win because we needed it to keep in touch with the rest of the pack and the play-offs.

'We can`t set out to out-score teams every week, we need to stop the goals going in and when we start doing that we`ll be cruising.`
