RUFC - Scott 'Wood shown how versatile he is'

Join The Vital Debate

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says that loanee, Sam Wood has shown already how versatile he is.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield about the twenty-five year old, Scott said, 'In the last couple of games he's played in a three-midfield and at left back which shows what he brings to the squad.

'His versatility is very important to the squad because he just doesn't play there to fill in, he plays there and plays very well plus he set up two goals last weekend. I'd been trying to get him in here for a while and I've been delighted with him since he's come in.

'I know what I want to bring into this club and what sort of players need to change for the mentality and the dynamic of the squad and Sam certainly fits into that mould. I've had a chat with the Chairman and he's aware of my feelings on players and where we need to improve and we are going to be doing everything we can to make that happen.

'I feel that we are only a couple of players away from being a real force in this league.'
