RUFC - New York it is!

Rotherham United will be playing at the New York Stadium from the 2012/13 season.

The new stadium, that seems to be going up quicker than lightening, is being built at the old Guest and Chrimes Foundry in town and there have been many suggestions of a name among the fans including The Foundry, The New Millmoor and Don Street as well as The Chuckle Stadium, thinking of the Millers famous fans the Chuckle Brothers.

The club have been playing at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield since moving from their spiritual home of Millmoor in May 2008

It's that long ago that the area was known as New York, that it takes explaining. I have been told by one person that she had a drink (once) in the New York Tavern. Know her hubby as well and he always took her to the best places LOL
