'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Wimbledon

Rotherham United might have been a tad lucky to force a one-nil win on Saturday over Wimbledon at Don Valley with even Manager, Andy Scott saying he wasn`t really sure how, at the end of the day, his side managed to keep a clean sheet and Wimbledon Manager, Terry Brown said he was 'distraught` at the end of the game.

Speaking to BBC London, Brown said, 'We needed a win today, not only for morale but to get points to lift us up the table.

'Our run of late hasn`t been very good but it was a really impressive performance this afternoon and we were very difficult to beat. We`ve come to a difficult stadium, playing a good side and I thought we had the majority of the match and played really well in spells and to go to an away ground and carve out about five golden opportunities which had me jumping up thinking it was a goal.

'We played good football and patient football and I will take the positives out of today`s performance because we solid and resilient and difficult to beat and it`s taken a brilliant goal from Sammy Wood to beat us.

'Our travelling support today was phenomenal. They sang for the whole time and they deserve better than to go home with a one-nil defeat.`
