RUFC - Scott explains Griffiths' absence

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott was asked why Scott Griffiths, who joined on loan this week, wasn't featured today.

'Scott's come on loan to us and he's not been training very much at Peterborough,' Scott said, 'so he wasn't match fit. And, it was a difficult game to come in to if you're not match fit.

'He's worked hard and done double sessions since he's been in this week and will continue to do that. We've got a reserve game on Tuesday so he'll be able to play some minutes in that and gain that match fitness that we need.'

Asked about Danny Harrison, who didn't feature today, Scott said, 'After last week his neck was really sore and, even on Tuesday he was feeling it a little bit and we realised he probably wouldn't be fit for this game so we made that decision.'
