RUFC - Mullins 'we know what we need to do'

Rotherham United defender, and stand-in skipper last weekend, Johnny Mullins says that although he is happy with his own form it's time the team started to be beating the teams above them.

Speaking to The Advertiser the former Mansfield Town and Stockport County central-defender said, 'We've only beaten Gillingham and Oxford above us although we've looked at some of the others and thought we'd done enough to win. But, we didn't and maybe didn't for a reason and it's an issue we have to solve.

'We have six big games coming up thick and fast and we know what we need to do. We are pulling in the same direction and working hard to achieve it. And, as disappointed as we were on Saturday we're just four points off the play-offs.'

In the past few games the Millers have only been putting in a forty-five minute performance and Johnny acknowledged that saying, 'It's a story that's been too common of late. On Saturday we knew we needed to start well with them (Swindon) playing their third game in a week and us having not played. But, we gave them two cheap goals and gave ourselves too much to do. What's annoying is that we didn't give them too many chances in the second half but why can't we do that for the full ninety minutes? We'll strive to achieve that.'
