RUFC - View from the Opposition - Port Vale

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said that he was upset and disappointed after losing one-nil at Don Valley to struggling Port Vale on Saturday.

But, Micky Adams, Vale manager said it was a 'fantastic performance from his lads.'

Speaking to Port Vale's Official Site, Adams said, 'We got it spot on in terms of the way we wanted to play with the conditions.

'In the first half we created a few chances and I thought their goalkeeper did well a couple of times but we were disappointed to go in nil-nil. In the second half we needed to defend well and turn them round the best we could. It was a terrific performance and we got our rewards.

'We needed a result to give ourselves a boost and I am sure that the win will lift everybody in and around the place - it is a welcome three points.'
