'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - No Meeting

Rotherham United Football Club have flatly denied any rumours that there was a meeting on Saturday after the game at Don Valley.

As the fans boos rang out from the stands at the final whistle, it seems some couldn't wait to get onto the local radio phone-ins to have a groan and some to suggest the Board had called a 6.00pm meeting. Of course, from that, the rumours got out that the meeting 'could be of importance.'

According to Chief Operating Officer, Paul Douglas, he said there was no such meeting. Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Mr Douglas said, 'There was no substance to such talk. No meeting was planned and none took place.'
