RUFC - Scott has a formula that works

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says he is working of a formula that he knows works.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Scott said, 'I have a formula that works - and it does work. I`ve been involved in teams where it works and I`ve managed teams where it works. So it works. What you need are individuals to fit into that formula to make it work and the formula does not change.

'Martin O`Neil - and Alex McLeish - has the same formula and he has played the same way wherever he`s managed.`

So, pray tell, why the heck haven`t we been using this sodding formula????

Admitting that the current situation isn`t good enough, Scott carried on, 'I didn`t come here to pull the wool over people`s eyes, I came here to win this division. I came here to be bold. I came here to get promoted and I`m still here to try and get the team into League One and that doesn`t mean hiding away.

'I don`t believe we are doing anything wrong Monday to Friday but the fans have every right to be disappointed with the performances they are seeing. I can guarantee I will be doing everything I can to make sure that changes.`

Surely in every walk of life you have formulas/ideas/methods but if the individuals are not a perfect fit then I believe the skill is in adapting those'formulas' to fit what's available!?!? "!- a poor workman always blames his tools!"
