RUFC - Scott 'Kieron will be asset to team'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says that latest loanee, Kieron Cadogan, will be an asset to the team.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after all the paper work was signed and sealed, Scott said, 'I've known Kieron a long time. He can play up front but he's more or less a wide player who is very direct and very quick. He's got good feet and can cross a ball and, with Evo (Gareth Evans) being out, that's something we've been lacking. He's inventive as a wide player and has pace and gives us something we've been lacking down the right. He played at Blackpool last Saturday and was instrumental in winning a penalty for their (Crystal Palace) goal and played very well. He's a fit young lad who is full of energy and enthusiasm and it's important that we have people coming straight into the squad and have an effect.

'He's been wanting to get out and play some games and it's fortunate that we've got a good relationship with Dougie Freedman and Lennie Lawrence and Palace and they are happy for him to come here and play some games. He wasn't well at the beginning of the week otherwise we'd have tried to do it then but, as far as we are aware, he's well now and we'll get him training today and see if he's ready to start on Saturday.

'The thing we've had recently is that we've not been consistent enough for our wide players to get on the ball. The way I want to play is with two wingers who are producing crosses and who get a supply line to our front players.'
