RUFC - Scott 'we've missed Evo'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says that they have missed Gareth Evans in the team.

Gareth limped off at Valley Parade in mid-November with a serious foot problem, after clashing with City's Michael Flynn, that, at the time, was thought was going to keep him out of the team for some weeks. So, it was a surprise when he started, and played most of the game against Macclesfield on Boxing Day. Gareth played the full ninety minutes of the following game against Cheltenham but managed less than an hour against Swindon.

'I'm disappointed about Evo,' Scott told MillersPlayer. 'He was probably one of our better players at the beginning of the season and was a real supply line and we scored some goals and we've missed him.

'He didn't play very well the last time he played and he was obviously carrying an injury which we've got to sort out. Since the injury he got at Bradford he's struggled to get his fitness back and we haven't had that direct wide player to get the balls in the box. So, hopefully, Kieron (Cadogan) coming into the club will help and, once Evo is fit, there will be more competition for places.'

I don't know about anyone else, but he didn't look fit in the last games he played - not his usual self. I know, after the Swindon game, Scott said Gareth told him he was fit but I still think it's up to the fitness team at the club to make that decision. What do you think?
