'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Scott 'natural fans vent their anger'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott applauded the Millers fans who had made the long journey to Dagenham on Saturday, even though boo`s were ringing in his ears.

The Millers went in at half-time with just a goal lead after missing a host of chances and soon after the break the Daggers drew level then went into the lead. Alex Revell got an equaliser but Dagenham were allowed space to get the winner and all three points.

Speaking after the defeat to The Star, Scott said, 'It`s natural, the fans are annoyed we have not won and vent their anger but everyone saw that we played well enough to win comfortably. I can`t think of a game where we`ve made more chances.

'There were those who acknowledged what they saw. Some of our forward play was fantastic and no one could doubt they all gave everything, they showed spirit and togetherness. But it`s just going against us at the moment.`

Yes, agreed we made chances, but we didn`t take them. And, most of those were easy chances. I also have to say that twice Lewis Grabban carried on when he`s been pulled back and clipped - maybe, just maybe, we should start doing what other teams do, and go down. And we certainly need to have extra shooting practice this week.
