RUFC - Scott hopeful on Mullins

Rotherham United are hopeful that midfielder, Johnny Mullins will be back for this weekend's game at Don Valley against Torquay.

The twenty-six year old former Stockport County player didn't feature in last weeks defeat against Dagenham and Redbridge because of a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, skipper, Ryan Cresswell is fit and able although the jury is still out regarding winger Gareth Evans.

Speaking to MillersPlayer Millers Manager, Andy Scott said, 'Johnny was pretty close last week but we didn't want to risk him because hamstrings are tricky things and, if he comes back to early and pulls it, then he's out for a long time. But, we are hopeful that he'll be fine for this weekend.

'Ryan Cresswell came through the friendly with Doncaster and he's itching to get back which is a big plus for us. He's worked very hard in training and is getting back to his best and it's good that we've got him available.

'Gareth Evans has had scans on his back and we are looking at different options for him because he keeps getting close but then feels it a little bit. We are working with the medical team at the moment to see how soon he can be back.'
