RUFC - Harrison out for revenge

RUFC - Harrison out for revenge

Rotherham United defender, Danny Harrison says that the Millers definitely 'owe Southend one` as he and the team get ready to make the long trek to Roots Hall on Friday night.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star the twenty-nine year old stand-in skipper said,` We definitely owe Southend one after what happened earlier on in the season.`

That game at Don Valley was, so far, the biggest defeat there of the season with it ending four-nil to the visitors and Harrison reflects, 'I remember we had a video nasty after that game and, believe it or not, they didn`t actually carve us open. They just came and did a professional job on us and we couldn`t handle them. They were efficient at what they did. They slowed things down and did everything very well.

'Every loss is hard but it was the manner in which we were beaten that hurt. Losing four-nil in front of your own fans is a hard one to take.`

Speaking about the game on Friday, Danny said, 'They are doing well in the league and we need to start on the front foot but it`s going to be really tough down there.`

Despite the freezing conditions, yesterday the club were optimistic that the game will go ahead on Friday night.

South Yorkshire Bragging Rights Go To The Millers

Rotherham United's fighting spirit did them well this afternoon after they came from one down in the first half to win the South Yorkshire derby with Doncaster Rovers two-one - but boy, did they leave it late!

Joe Mattock was back in the starting line-up for the Millers with Michael Ihiekwe, who had replaced him last week, nowhere to be seen. Rovers also made one change with Ben Whiteman replacing the injured Luke McCullough.

It was a scrappy start to the game and although Rovers
