'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Scott 'we want to play games'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says that the build up to Friday night`s game with Southend hasn`t been easy.

With the wintery weather conditions still around, Scott told MillersPlayer, 'Clearly, with the weather as it is, preparing for games is very difficult. But we are in the same boat as nearly every other club in the country at our level with the facilities available.

'We`ve been able to get on astro turf and done different things. We had a spinning class which was very good and we`ve a swimming pool we can use and various things that keeps them doing something different without the stress of the impact work on astro turf every day.

'The forecast isn`t great for the rest of the week so every day we are making out contingency plans in case we can`t train on the astro turf. We are trying to use facilities at local clubs and having to fit around them which will help us. It`s difficult but it`s the first time it`s happened this season and we`ve just got to get on with it.

'We want to get back to playing games and we are preparing for the game on Friday and clearly we will be in touch with Southend at some stage on Thursday to see if there is any doubt.`
