'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Harrad 'excited to be here'

Rotherham United's latest loanee, Shaun Harrad says that he is really excited to be here.

Speaking to the Official Site, the twenty-seven year old striker, who is with the Millers for a month from Bury, said, 'It is a great opportunity to play some football and I am aiming to get some goals while I am here.'

After becoming a proven goalscorer with Burton Albion, Shaun moved to Northampton in January last year where he scored six goals in eighteen games. At the end of August he moved onto Bury but hasn't really lit the blue torch paper, playing just seventeen league games and not getting on the score sheet.

'I haven't really been able to get in the side at Bury,' Shaun said, 'so took the opportunity to come here when it arose. I've met the lads and and got on really well with them today, we have trained well and I have been impressed with what I've seen. I'm taking everything one day at a time but obviously, I am really looking forward to playing.

'I'll always give one hundred per cent no matter whether I score or not so if I can help the team climb the table, and move towards the play-offs then that would be great for all parties.'
