Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott said that the following to Southend last night was magnificent.

One hundred and twenty-three hearty souls set off from Rotherham in the icy conditions, not really sure if the game would go ahead and the majority sang, cheered and clapped throughout the game.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after getting the three points last night, Scott said, 'The fans were magnificent. All the lads went over to them at the end because they appreciate the fact that it`s Friday night and it`s a long journey. It`s particularly cold and they weren`t sure if the game was going to be on.

'They are the life and soul of this football club and we appreciate that and know that and we were delighted that we could give them a performance tonight and they could go home happy and look forward to Tuesday.'
