'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Scott 'it's in our own hands'

Rotherham United Manager, Andy Scott says they aren't looking at the teams around them.

Speaking to MillersPlayer before the game against Burton at the Pirelli Stadium tomorrow, Scott said, 'We are just looking at winning our next game. We can't take our eye of the ball and be looking at who's doing what and where everyone else is. We've got to take care of our own business. We've come out of many games with a draw or a loss and thought 'what if' and have kicked ourselves for missing opportunities so we can't do that. We've just got to make sure we win our game.

'It's very tight and you are looking at us and probably three or four teams below us who are very close. Gillingham have a game in hand and can go above us but we've got to play them and Oxford are three points ahead of us and everyone else is eleven points ahead so it's going to be tough to catch them. We've got to play Oxford yet and the teams above us and if we do what we do well then we are going to have the opportunity to overtake some teams but if we don't do it on a regular basis it's going to be a wasted opportunity.

'But there's one place at the moment which may become two or may become three if the teams above us have a dodgy spell. But it's a very tight league and, as we've said before, anyone can beat anyone but Torquay have shown that if you get on a decent run anything can happen.

'We know that we are up against it in terms of the teams around us but we've got to play them all so it's in our own hands.'
