'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Andy 'I love it here'

Rotherham United goalkeeper, Andy Warrington began his first league game for four months on Saturday and said 'it was great to be back`.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield earlier today. Andy said, 'It was my first game in a couple of months and it was great to get ninety minutes under my belt.

'I`ve had a game and a half in the reserves in the last three months so it was good to get a game. I knew Rhys (Taylor) was injured after the game on Tuesday and I thought I`d have a good chance of playing and I just wanted to play well and try and state my claim for a regular starting place.

Asked about his future, Andy said, 'I love it at the club and we will just have to wait and see what happens. I prepare to play every game so nothing changes for me. I`ve not missed a days training all season and I`m available for selection every single game.

'Rhys has come in and done really, really well but, unfortunately, he got injured, although I think it`s just a slight pull on his elbow so I don`t think he will be too long and is expecting to train in the next couple of days.

'It`s a big season for us and moving to a new stadium and, as a club, we want to be in League One. There`s a lot of tough games coming up in March and the more points we can get on the board, sooner rather than later, should stand us in good stead to try and get back into that play-off place.`
