Rotherham United Nostalgia Society

Rotherham United Nostalgia Society will be meeting this evening at the Green Dragon, Kimberworth where former Millers goalkeeper, Ray Mountford is the guest speaker.

Mexborough born Ray began his career with Manchester United before moving back to South Yorkshire to play for the Millers in the 1978/9 season, playing the last game of that season.

After that Ray became a regular choice and played more than one hundred and forty games, gaining a Division Three championship medal in the 1980/81 season. Ray joined Bury on loan in 1983 before hanging up his boots for good.

Joining the Police force, Ray is now an Inspector based at Mexborough.

The meeting begins at 8.30 pm tonight (Thursday) and all are welcome
