'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Prings pleased to be playing

Rotherham United striker, Ben Pringle seems to have 'come in from the cold` this week, after starting and impressing in the last two games.

Prings joined the Millers in the summer, after being let go by Derby County, and played nine games from August to October, but wasn`t seen again until getting the Millers equaliser last Saturday at Barnet.

'I didn`t feel I got the chance I should have at Derby,` the twenty-two year old told David Beddows of The Advertiser, 'and so I came to Rotherham to play every week. For some reason that didn`t happen and I didn`t know where I was going or what was going on and every thing that could go wrong with this move did go wrong.

'It hasn`t been easy not playing, not being in the squad and having weekends off when you didn`t want them, because you want to be involved all the time.`

He was pretty much the fans Man of the Match at the Underhill Stadium last weekend and impressed again on Tuesday night at Don Valley.

'After making a good impression on Saturday, the last thing I wanted to do was to come in on Tuesday and not play as well. So , I was really determined to keep my game up as high as I could. I was happy with my performance and I don`t think anyone would have begrudged us a victory.

'I`m looking forward to playing now. There are twelve games left and if I keep playing the way I am then hopefully they will be looking to put me in for the next game as well.`

Manager, Andy Scott said, 'Coming from a bigger club, as a young lad, you can come and think you can change the world on your own. And you can`t. You need the other ten bodies on the pitch to help you out. Ben is relatively young in terms of league games he has played and it`s a new level for him but he has got fitter and mentally stronger.

'For a young lad he`s been through a lot of things in his life so to come back and get in the side is a credit to him and, if we can make Ben Pringle a permanent fixture in the side, there will be no one happier than me.`
