RUFC - Harrison 'I wasn't good enough'

Rotherham United`s stand-in skipper, Danny Harrison, says that he wasn`t good enough in the game against Barnet last weekend, and it had nothing to do with the car crash he`d been involved in the day before.

After being taken off at half-time the club said that Danny was 'shook up` after the accident but speaking to The Advertiser, the twenty-nine year old said, 'I was glad to walk away from the accident. I had a couple of hand injuries but I`m making no excuses, I just wasn`t good enough in the first half.

'I don`t think anyone could come off after the first half and say they had done anything near what they`re capable of. The gaffer made tow substitutions which got us back into the game. Perhaps we should have gone on and won it after Barnet went down to ten men.

'There were things we didn`t do. We talked about moving the ball better and getting it out wide. Ben Pringle came on and put in some good quality crosses but we needed people to get on the end of them.

'It was disappointing but we were better off with one point than no points.`
