RUFC - Grabs feeling more relaxed

Join The Vital Debate

Rotherham United top scorer, Lewis Grabban says he is feeling more relaxed although he doesn`t think all the transfer talk in January put him off his stride that much.

Speaking to The Advertiser the twenty-four year old former Millwall striker said, 'In football we all have a quiet period and mine was in January which just happened to coincide with the transfer talk.

'Maybe I was over thinking things which happens when you don`t get on the score sheet for a while. You can over complicate it and you`ve just got to relax and start again; go out there and do what you normally do. I am now feeling more relaxed and better in myself.`

Lewis has made thirty-nine appearances for the Millers this season scoring seventeen goal, of which six have been from the penalty spot and Lewis carried on, 'I`ve always tried to take penalties because it is the easiest way of scoring. I practice them on the training ground when the 'keepers have some spare time and, towards the end of the week, I ask them for ten shots and they oblige. I don`t have a set penalty, otherwise 'keepers will research it before a game and know where I go. I only decide just before I take it and then be strong in my decision and not change my mind. I just go for it.

'We`ve got a lot of games this month and if we can come out of it with a good share of the points we can go into the final month with a platform to push on.`
