RUFC - Chairman 'never-say-die'

Join The Vital Debate

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart hasn't given up getting into the play-offs, but knows it's not very likely.

Speaking after sacking Andy Scott yesterday afternoon, Mr Stewart said, 'We have got nine games to go, if we carry on as we have been it's impossible but, in this game, you never say die.

'Will sacking Scott give us a jolt? I don't know, but we hope that will evolve.

'There are nine games left and we have to win seven of them. The stats would say we haven't got a cat in hell's chance of getting promoted but it's not impossible.'

The Millers have the chance to start on their winning ways tonight when Macclesfield Town come to Don Valley.
