RUFC - Patto 'Hoskins not far off playing'

Rotherham United caretaker Manager, Darren Patterson said that the reserve draw against Scunthorpe had been an excellent performance and was pleased with the attitude of the first team players as well as the performance from the youngsters in the side.

Particularly pleasing must have been that Sam Hoskins, who is on loan from Southampton, scored within the first fifteen seconds of the game on Wednesday afternoon.

Speaking to MillersPlayer today, Patterson said, 'Young Sam got on the score sheet. He`s very sharp and his movement is very, very good. We are just trying to get him adapted to the tempo of how we play rather than to force him in especially as we are playing the one up front at the minute. So, we`ve not been able to put him in but I`ve got to be honest and say he`s not far off that.`
