RUFC - Douglas 'new man must share our visions'

Rotherham United`s Chief Operating Officer, Paul Douglas says the club aren`t particularly looking for a 'big name` to be the fourth manager in as many years.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, Mr Douglas said, 'There is no particular type of manager we are looking for and it is not how big a name they are.

'We are still getting e-mails and phone calls but, after the initial flood of applications, it is now starting to diminish. There is a good mix of people with good track records. Each applicant is treated with confidentiality and it would not be fair to say who has and who hasn`t applied.

'We will be looking carefully at the statistical performances of these people and when we meet them it must be clear that they share our visions.`

Early this week, Chairman, Tony Stewart said that they had to have the right person for the job and that the demands would be 'pretty high.`
