RUFC - Ex-Owls Player backs ex-Owls boss

Rotherham United are again interviewing today for a new Manager after whittling down over forty applicants to just five.

With Millers Chairman probably wanting experience, it is thought that former boss, Mark Robins and ex-Northern Ireland Manager, Nigel Worthington are amongst the five while former Sheffield Wednesday Manager, Brian Laws put his name into the hat from the off could well be another.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star today, Lee Bullen, who played under Laws for the Owls, said, 'I know there will be a lot of good candidates for the Rotherham post because it is a tremendous job for someone to get their teeth into. The Chairman there is desperate for success. It is a club who should be in League One.

'Brian (Laws) could do a tremendous job at Rotherham. If you look at his career, it is probably better to focus on his time at Scunthorpe rather than what he did at Sheffield Wednesday or Burnley. Brian had a lot of success at Scunthorpe who are a club similar in size and stature to Rotherham and I think someone with Brian`s experience and the success he had there makes it a no-brainer.`

Could it be that Bullen, who was Assistant Coach with Falkirk, before leaving to move back to Sheffield, is hoping to be at the New York Stadium himself as Laws number two?
