'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Patto enjoying his role at the club

Rotherham United`s Darren Patterson says he is enjoying his role as Caretaker Manager.

'My cup is always half-full and I`ve had a smile on my face since I walked into this club,` Patto told MillersPlayer yesterday, 'and it`s still there now.

'I`m really enjoying being in control of a fantastic football club which I find an honour.`

Saying that the search for a new Manager doesn`t affect him at all, the former Wigan defender said, 'I`m just getting on, on a day to day basis, working hard and enjoying it. It`s very important that we win on Saturday to me and to the players.`

Being caretaker manager is nothing new to Patto as he has been there with Oxford and Bristol Rovers and he said, 'I know all about this situation. I must have had about a thousand texts asking what`s happening but it doesn`t affect me in any way.`
