'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Hereford

Rotherham United caretaker Manager, Darren Patterson was pleased with the win over Hereford and Saturday saying that, in his opinion, they'd bossed the game from start to finish.

Meanwhile, Bulls boss, Richard O'Kelly and his side are firmly stuck to the bottom of League Two and he told HerefordPlayer that he thought it was a scrappy game.

'I thought we were desperately poor in the first half,' O'Kelly said after the one-nil loss to the Millers, 'but, the second half I thought we were up for the fight.

'I thought Rotherham dominated the game and there were spells in the first half when we let them dictate the play. They were switched on and played at a high tempo whereas we were the opposite. We let them do it and we didn't do anything to change it which I take the responsibility for. We changed it at half time and there was more heart and we changed the system slightly. But, systems are irrelevant to me sometimes and it's a lot to do with players behaviour and their natural instinct. I thought we gave it a go in the second half but it's not perfect and I can't say it's going to be.

'It was a scrappy game, but from their point of view, for the goal, it was good pressure, a good ball in and a good little run and from our point of view it was poor previous to the goal and poor defending at the time.'
